Nope. You don't need to have any previous experience of scouting to become a volunteer.
So if you don't know how to light a fire or put up a tent, that's totally fine.
Absolutely! Many of our volunteers also have children involved in scouts too. To find out about volunteering in your child's group, speak to the leaders or group scout leader.

All volunteers take part in some training to get up to speed with everything they need to know for their role.
You'll also have a line manager too. They'll be on hand to provide support and guidance when you need it.
There are plenty of ways to volunteer if you aren't yet 18 years old. The young leader's scheme is designed to help you get started with volunteering at scouts.
